Lake Wakatipu

The third largest lake in the southern island of New Zealand, Lake Wakatipu is renowned for its scenic beauty. Surrounded by mountains the drive around Lake Wakatipu is quite breathtaking. The length of the river is approximately 80km and 291 square kilomters in size and is fed by the Dart River at the north end, and drained by the Kawarau River 8km east of Queenstown.

This photograph was taken from one of the many viewing spots on the drive from Queenstown to Glenorchy along the costal road and is available as a print or canvas in sizes up to 20inch by 16inch.
