Wedding Photography at Sandon Hall, Staffordshire
Sat, Jun 15 2013

Sandon Hall is one of my favourite venues to photograph in Staffordshire, and I had the wonderful opportunity of photographing Jennifer and Peter on their special day. Jennifer's bridal preparations began at Netherstowe House which is a beautiful place to begin the day.

The bridal preparations were going smoothly and everyone was relaxed and just enjoying the excitement before the wedding. The rooms at Netherstowe house were a perfect setting to get some timeless photos of her dress, shoes, flowers and the general preparations. Time passed so quickly and it wasn't long before I headed off to the church to meet up with Peter and photograph the guests arriving.

All morning I had the sneaky feeling that were we going to have some rain and it put in an appearance at the church. Luckily, it was only a short shower and we were soon outside getting shots of Peter with his best man and ushers. Sandon Hall and All Saints Church as such beautiful locations that it was easy to get some amazing photos and in only a few minutes. With a few formal photos done and out of the way, the ushers were free to get on with organising cars, parking and assisting the guests.

The service was held in All Saints Church, Sandon, a beautiful country church, just a short drive from Sandon Hall. With a sprinkling of the traditional, group photographs - we were off to Sandon Hall in just a few short minutes. We had two small showers of rain, but that did nothing to prevent everyone from enjoying the day, and getting some truly wonderful photographs.

You can't help but be impressed with Sandon Hall. It has everything you need for a perfect day. Stunning gardens, beautiful rooms, and an exterior shot that is so dramatic. After a few shots of Jennifer and Peter in the gardens, it was back to mingling and enjoying the day.

I could tell that the best man was quite nervous about giving his speech, but all went well - some laughs, a few tears and plenty of champagne. With plenty more mingling before the evening party it was such a relaxed later afternoon with guests wandering around the gardens.

The evening party kciked off with a few swish moves from Peter on the dance floor during the first dance, and it wasn't long before the dance floor was packed.

I loved the day, and for me it was over too quickly - as is every wedding.
