Hilltop Country House Wedding – Cheshire

I loved this wedding, from start to finish. Such a beautiful couple with wonderful family and friends. I did not want to leave….. Part of why I love to photograph weddings is that I get to travel all over the country to see amazing places such as Hilltop Country House. This wedding venue is surrounded by 15 acres of beautiful gardens, fields and woodland.

I can see why Jen and Rich chose this beautiful venue for their wedding. The location, house and grounds are stunning!

I arrived at Jen and Rich’s house for the bridal preparations, and from the very start, it felt like a home away from home and that I had known them for years. It was so much fun to start the day with Jen, her bridesmaids and her parents. It felt like only 5 minutes before I had to head off to the wedding venue, and I was amazed at how beautiful it looked when I arrived. Jen had already told me it was perfect for photos, and she was not wrong. Talk about spoilt for choice.

Without question, one of the highlights here is when the bride gets to walk with her father through the gardens up to the ceremony room, and the groom can watch in amazement. It’s almost like a scene from a movie.

Throughout the whole day, you can see why couples choose to get married here. It’s just beautiful. Even though we had some rain on the day, Jen and Rich grabbed a wedding brolly and we headed into the gardens and woods for some stunning photos.

We managed to avoid most of the rain and all the main photos were taken outside in the garden, before heading in for food. Which, again, was awesome. I have to say, I was impressed by the speeches too, they all made me laugh quite a lot.

The day ended with some live music (always a must for a decent shindig at a wedding), some of the best home made pizzas I’ve tasted in years, and some cracking (questionable) dance moves on the dance floor.

I did not want to leave at the end of the day, but had to get going to prepare for my next wedding.

To Jen and Rich, thank you so much for inviting me to be part of your day. it truly felt like I was at a friends wedding. I hope to see you again soon.
