This was my first wedding at Sharpham Vineyard and it blew me away.

Claire booked me for hte wedding last year, and we spooke on the phone before the big day to go through her plans and what she wanted. For me, this was a perfect day as all Claire’s requirements were – “we don’t really know what we want, so you just photograph the day as you want to Simon”.

I love photorgaphing weddings like this. I go with the flow of the day, and capture things as they happen. I know most people want just a few formal shots of family and friends so I took just the right amount.

Sharpham Vineyard is without doubt, one of my favourite wedding venues in Devon. The main house, the valley and views overlooking the River Dart provide stunning backdrops for some awesome wedding photography. I’m also one of their recommended photographers for weddings.

Claire and William were a lovely couple to photograph and their guests made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived and the sunshine just topped off a perfect day.

I’d have to say that the spiral staircase in the main house is breaktaking and lets everyone get a birds eye view of the ceremony. If you are thinking of having your wedding here – don’t hesitate. Book it as soon as you can – you won’t regret it.
